OUR MISSION / ABOUT
Rocca Elite Basketball Academy Started in 2017. Founded by Mike Rocca & Joe Rocca who are brothers from Sarnia, Ontario. Their vision was to bring high level basketball to Southwestern Ontario, with the goal of creating opportunities for young athletes that we had throughout our careers.
Both Joe & Mike have played basketball on the biggest stages and played for some of the best coaches in North America. Through hard work, determination, and perseverance, they have created successful basketball careers both on and off the hardwood. Their mission is to help athletes reach their goals through skill training, mentorship, and consulting by taking their experiences from their long basketball and academic careers.
Over the years we have grown a great team including Kristine Lalonde (Rocca) who has enjoyed a storied basketball career herself (National Championships, National Teams, Professional, Etc). She has been an incredible addition to our team as a role model, leader and coach with unbelievable experience.
In addition to our head coaching staff, we have also added 2 former University & College basketball players and local former all-stars Yasmine Taylor & Victoria Racine & also three current and former REBA athletes Ryann Turner, Teighan Stoukas, & Parker Wyant who are unbelievable leaders and role models in the community. They have been with Rocca Elite since we began in 2017. They have learned from us and now have been put into leadership roles which we are very proud of.
Our Academy is more than just basketball, we want to help push athletes to limits that they don’t think they can get to, while teaching them that if you work hard enough for something, anything is possible.
We are extremely excited for our 7th year in 2024, come join us on this journey at Rocca Elite Basketball Academy!
HEAD COACHING STAFF
PLAYER DEVELOPMENT STAFF
Yasmine is a former Sarnia basketball player who has a passion for teaching the next generation of youth athletes. After playing for St. Patricks and winning three city championships, she headed out to the East Coast to play varsity basketball at Cape Breton University. After two years, she decided to pursue an education closer to home and played for the Lambton College basketball program before finishing her degree in Public Health at Toronto Metropolitan University. Now back in Sarnia with a full-time career, Yasmine is excited to work with Rocca Basketball to develop local Sarnia basketball talent! We are lucky to have Coach Yasmine apart of Rocca Elite!
6 YEARS COACHING EXPERIENCE
Victoria Racine, is a former basketball player at St Christopher Secondary School in Sarnia. Her work ethic has always been something that impressed Joe & Mike Rocca growing up. She was always willing to put in another workout to improve. Following high school Victoria went off to college at Fanshawe in London, ON and played for 3 years with their Fanshawe Varsity Women's Basketball Program. She continued to play in a competitive city league in Toronto for 3 years. Victoria has a passion for coaching and teaching the next generation and we are lucky to have her apart of Rocca Elite.
6 YEARS COACHING EXPERIENCE
Andrew Cook, is a former basketball star at Northern Collegiate in Sarnia. His work ethic helped him to obtain a basketball scholarship at the University of Waterloo Men's Basketball where he currently is their point guard!
Andrew has a passion for coaching and teaching the next generation and we are lucky to have her apart of Rocca Elite.

RYANN TURNER
6 YEARS ROCCA BASKETBALL EXPERIENCE
Ryann has been a part of Rocca Basketball since it began in 2017. A very talented young athlete she came to our first camp, and has been a joy to coach and train ever since. She is a very quick learner, a leader, extremely mature and someone that we are very thrilled to have grow with us at Rocca Basketball. She is currently attending school at The University of Guelph with the hopes of becoming a teacher one day! We are looking forward to the development of Ryann as she is without a doubt one of the brightest up and coming coaches in Sarnia. We are lucky to have Ryann as a youth development coach.

TEIGHAN STOUKAS
6 YEARS ROCCA BASKETBALL EXPERIENCE
Teighan has been with Rocca Basketball since it started in 2017. She has always been a joy to coach, an extremely hard worker, and has a very bright future ahead of her. She currently is a Point Guard for the University of Windsor Women's Basketball Program! She has always been coachable, willing to learn, and open to honest feedback. We are so thrilled with the overall development of Teighan since she was younger and we are excited to have her as a coach, and role model for young athletes. We are lucky to have Teighan as a youth development coach.
PARKER WYANT
6 YEARS ROCCA BASKETBALL EXPERIENCE
Parker has been with Rocca Basketball since it began in 2017. He has put in as many hours as anyone in our program and we are so thrilled with his development physically and mentally. He has always been willing to put in an extra hour of work, and has very lofty goals as a player which we all believe he will reach with his continued work ethic. He is growing as a leader and we have confidence that he will be very successful - as a player & coach. We are lucky to have Parker as a youth development coach.
JAMISON TURNER
6 YEARS ROCCA BASKETBALL EXPERIENCE
Jamison has been with Rocca Basketball since it began in 2017 at our first camp. Her progression over the years has been nothing short of amazing. Her work ethic is second to none, and she really shows coaches that she wants to always get better! She has always been willing to put in extra work, and has very high goals as a player which we all believe he will reach with his continued work ethic. We are very lucky to have Jamison as a youth development coach.
